The Pond Plant series of pond pump pre-filter are the most unique and effective universal pump pre-filter system we have found. Shaped like the leaves of many floating pond plants the system easily blends into the natural environment of any pond while performing its function of keeping your water pump's intake from clogging.
Each leaf is made of sturdy HDPE plastic and has hundreds of inlet holes that act as a strainer to prevent algae, leaves and other pond debris from entering the pump's intake while allowing the free flow of water through the pump. Unlike foam filters the Pond Plant strainer will last many years and will require much less maintenance during use. The size of your water pump determines which Pond Plant strainer is best for you. A single leaf system can be used with pumps up to 900 gallons per hour. The tri-leaf unit and the combination unit with pump housing can be used with pumps up to 2500 gallons per hour. Each unit will accept a variety of tubing sizes starting from 5/8" ID up to 1-1/4" ID on the larger sizes and single tri-leaf system feature a built-in flow control for the attached pump.
