The VersaMax power filters are aptly named. They are designed for maximum filter capacity and filtration versatility. They mount easily on all major brands of aquariums including Perfecto, All Glass, Top Finn and many others. They will accept both filter cartridges and bulk filter media. These filters are an up flow design and each unit comes with two filter canisters with foam filters. This setup provides basic mechanical and biological filtration right out of the box and by cleaning one side at a time, you always maintain your biological filtration at optimal levels. Chemical filtration is easily added with bulk filter media or cartridges for a setup customized to your water quality parameters and budget.
The unit is powered by a magnetic driven wet-rotor design water pump with ceramic shaft for use in both fresh and saltwater. The pump is housed inside the main filter housing making the unit whisper quiet, leak proof and easy to maintain as the pump just lifts out of the main filter container for cleaning. Startup is easy also. Just pour a cup or two of water into the main housing and plug it in to start, no priming necessary. Flow is adjusted by means of a small dial mounted on the top of the filter and the beautiful smoked color blends with any decor. The bulk of the filter stays outside the tank minimizing the space needed for the filter while still maintaining a large filter capacity.
