The quick-disconnect Orings prevent leaking around the inlet and outlet stems of the Quick-disconnect unit when inserted into the top of the motor and when the filter is operating. Water leaking from the cord area is a symptom of this problem as is air leaking into the canister when the filter is operating. These rings will last on average 3-5 years before needing replacement.
