These brackets attach (clamp) to the inlet/outlet tubes and coupled with the large suction cups will hold the inlet/outlet pipe and spraybar to the aquarium wall. The clamps can also be used to hold other items that are approximately 5/8" outer diameter such as rigid or flexible tubing.
