Description
The basket lid seals the bottom of the motor to the top of basket assembly. This insures that water flowing from the aquarium will flow through the baskets from the bottom up flowing through all the filter media before exiting the filter and returning to the aquarium. Replace only if warped, damaged or lost. The filter will not operate properly without it as water will go directly from the aquarium and into the impeller area bypassing all filtration.
