The SmartHeater unviversal connection kit allows the SmartHeater to be used with other brands of external filters and replaces the intake tube supplied by the manufacturer with the SmartHeater intake tube. Water will pass through SmartHeater and then into the external filter and back into the tank. Works with most external filter systems including Hagen, Marineland, Eheim and others.
