API Tap Water Purifier Replacement Cartridge will produce 25-125 gallons of pure deionized water and is an original factory replacement for use with the API Tap Water Purifier Item number 175. The cartridge is easy to replace but make sure to read directions carefully before replacing the cartridge. Volume of purified water is dependent on the amount of pollutants that must be removed by the cartridge from the tap water. The cartridge will change color as it is used up insuring you don't overuse a cartridge.
The Tap Water Purifier works with Saltwater and Freshwater aquariums and is especially valuable for Reef hobbyists. If you have already invested in another system such as Reverse Osmosis, the unit can be used as a secondary filter with the other system to remove the leftover pollutants such as nitrate. Once the water has been purified then use the included Electro-Right to add back the perfect balance of hydrominerals and the pH adjuster to raise the pH to the proper level for your species specific or community aquarium.
